About Our Precious Chandalini Birmans & Other Household Moggies
Welcome to the website for Chandalini Birmans.
My name is Michelle and I live in Stafford with my husband, Simon, two children, and seven wonderful cats.
I have had cats all my life but Issy was my first birman and she was born on 3rd May 2004.
She was bred by a friend of mine, Angie Walker .
As things turned out, Issy went to stud in April 2005 and , following a scan in May, we new she was having three kittens.
Her three gorgeous babies were born on 16th June 2005 along with one extra - Cuddly Dudley. Sadly, he was born with only half of a tail and was barely alive, but we managed to revive him and he grew up into a lovely boy. I couldn't resist the two seals in the litter and they stayed with us whilst the other, Milo and Dudley, went to a home together.
I have two moggies - both rescue cats- and both as precious to us as our birmans. Ollie is a 12 year old silver, black and white tabby and Bindy is a tortie.
Issy's second litter was born in April 2006 and, yet again, I had to keep one!! Welcome Daisy May. This had to stop so in August 2008 I changed tactics and introduced a Maine Coon into the equation - Ruskita Chandalini Elphie. How many will stay from her litters? Watch this space.
I really wanted to breed and Issy was on the active list with the intention of breeding from her in 2006.
